The TRU Ball X-Tension R/T is a wrist trigger that can be used in two ways: the PULL-THRU method or the RELAX TENSION method for activation!
When shooting PULL-THRU style: Start by setting the X-Tension R/T five pounds above your holding weight for a perfect pull. Pull the spring with just your thumb and forefinger, pressing the tension levers firmly down the entire time the spring is pulled. When fully engaged, release pressure from the thumb and index finger tension levers and use back tension to trigger. When you reach five pounds more tension than the holding weight of your bow, the trigger will go off!
When shooting in RELAX TENSION style: Set the X-Tension R/T five pounds below your holding weight in a perfect draw. Pull the spring with your thumb and forefinger, pressing down on the tension levers firmly throughout the spring draw. Once you're anchored and aiming at the target, slowly release pressure evenly from the thumb and index finger tension lever, and the trigger will go off!
This trigger features an innovative design that revolutionizes trigger technology! The patent-pending TriStar Hook System is a series of three hooks that rotate around the pole so that after firing, the next hook is ready to load! That's genius!!!
To adjust the X-Tension R/T, we've added a red ring to the bottom of the trigger head so you can micro-adjust the tension needed to trigger. To achieve the best results, we recommend finding out the draw weight of the spring divided by the release percentage of the cams. For example, if your spring is set at 60 lbs and the release is 65%, your trigger point will be 21 lbs. You can then use the tension gauge and pull against the trigger to set the X-Tension R/T to 26 lbs if you want to use the Pull Push method or 16 lbs if you want to use the Relax Tension method for activation. You can then move to your bows and pull both the thumb and forefinger tension levers down. You can then use the red adjustment ring to micro-adjust the pull you want to maximize your shot! Turn the red ring clockwise (to the higher number on the ring) for increasing tension. Adjustment is simple and fast!
